How long will it take?

It depends whether you're more tortoise than hare or vice versa. If you run the whole way it will take you approximately 30mins, if you walk it will take you roughly 90 minutes. It's really not a race though!

Can we enter as a team?

Indeed! You can enter the Sumo Run as an Individual or a Team, however, we encourage entering as a Team as it's more fun! Why not spice things up and enter two rival teams? Or a team from your work place perhaps? Whatever you decide, be creative!

There is absolutely no limit on what size team you can enter, however, every individual on the Team is still expected to raise £250 each. However, teams can choose to do this via a single Team Fundraising page with the target of that page totalling the number of Team Members x £250 (e.g. 3 team members £750).

How big are the sumo suits?

The suits are “one size fits all”. The legs and arms can be adjusted with ties so they fit pretty much anyone and everyone.

When will I get my Sumo suit?

You'll have your suit and will be inflating yourself within 4 weeks of paying your registration fee.

Can I wear a sponsor's t-shirt?

Yes! It's actually a great way to get raise some extra funds. Think of it as you own slice of Real Estate and sell it to the highest bidder!

Can I personalise my Sumo suit?

Yes! In fact, as long as it is safe, we encourage you to customise your suit! For us, the more creative you are, the better it is! There will actually be a prize for most creative fancy dress so start thinking about accessories now!

Can I keep the Sumo Suit?

Of course! It's yours to pass down from generation to generation...

Is there other entertainment on the day?

You bet! As well as the Run itself there is always plenty of other entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

How old do you have to be to take part?

Unfortunately, for safety reasons we cannot allow under 18's to officially register for the event. However, people of all ages are more than welcome to come along to the park. There is always plenty of other entertainment as well.

I don't like dressing fancy dressing-up but is there another way that I can help?

There certainly is! You can either come and offer your support to those others taking part on the day or, if you're really lovely, you can volunteer with us as a steward!
